Toshiba TEC’s e-STUDIO4508LP, the hybrid Multi-function peripheral (MFP) capable of producing erasable as well as standard monochrome prints, has won the Better Buys Q3 2017 Editor’s Choice Award. This unique product received the coveted honour by outperforming a wide array of other monochrome copiers in side-by-side comparisons.

Better Buys editors were especially impressed by the e-STUDIO4508LP’s eco and cost-savings elements as well as the product’s erasable toner. Featuring Toshiba’s proprietary erasable toner, the e-STUDIO4508LP enables paper reuse by erasing all printed content on the page.

“The Toshiba e-STUDIO4508LP utilises the same strong features as Toshiba’s other copiers,” said Better Buys editor Melissa Pardo-Bunte. “However, it has innovative hybrid printing technology that will reduce costs as well as lower an organisation’s carbon footprint.”

This hybrid MFP allows users to print both regular black prints and erasable blue prints, and also erase the prints within one device. To simplify use, the product’s rules-based printing feature enables users to select toner setting defaults based on the application. As a result temporary items, such as emails, may be designated to print in erasable toner to conserve paper while more permanent documents, such as those printed from Microsoft Word, may be assigned to print in standard monochrome toner.

“We are pleased that the e-STUDIO4508LP’s unique feature impressed and won the award. It is the signature model of Toshiba Tec’s environmental strategy, and its hybrid printing technology will help our customers function more ecologically while still operating in an efficient and economical manner,” says Jeremy Spencer, Marketing Director of Toshiba TEC.

In addition to winning Better Buys Q3 2017 Editor’s Choice Award, Toshiba has earned Better Buys’ Innovative Product of the Year Award four out of the last five years.
