Presto Music takes to the cloud with Desktop Monster

Presto Music School has selected hosted desktop solution Desktop Monster in a bid to meet its expanding IT needs.

Founded in July 2004, Presto is a top music tuition franchise that caters to people of all ages across the UK. The school currently provides lessons to over 1,400 students weekly, in piano, guitar, drum, keyboard, and singing. The school now has over 30 employees that operate from its sites in Liverpool, Manchester, Runcorn, Warrington, and Wrexham.

Presto approached Midshire, the parent company of Desktop Monster, initially enquiring about printers and computer hardware. After a successful consultation that resulted in Midshire providing six HP laptops, Midshire’s Technology Sales Manager identified the company as a the perfect candidate for Desktop Monster.

A cloud-hosted desktop solution, Desktop Monster is designed for organisations of all sizes by providing them with instant access to their business files, wherever they are, on any device. The technology is particularly ideal for multi-site organisations as it reduces the need to invest in expensive servers whilst providing a flexible collaborative platform.

Tim Morris, director of Presto Music, commented: “As a small business we had not invested in any IT infrastructure and had several staff working in different locations on laptops and sharing information via Drop box or email.
