One million and counting

At the end of October 2019, the amount of money raised by Premier Paper’s Carbon Capture initiative smashed through the £1 million barrier.

Premier Paper introduced the programme in 2008 to give customers the opportunity to mitigate CO2 emissions from paper purchases. Every time a ream of Carbon Capture paper is sold, Premier Paper makes a donation to the Woodland Trust, with 100% of money raised going directly to the charity to fund the planting of native woodland in the UK.

So far, 530 customers have signed up to the Carbon Capture Programme, contributing to the planting of 240,000 native trees, the creation of 150 hectares of new native British woodland and the capture of 60,000 tonnes of CO2.
