Mailing – Missed delivery boost for parcel lockers

The growing risk of doorstep piracy is highlighted in a new survey by Quadient, which shows that in the last 12 months the proportion of consumers who have experienced lost or stolen parcel deliveries has increased from 20% to 25%. The number of people who have missed a delivery and had to arrange re-delivery or visit a depot has also increased to 45%. This may explain why the proportion of people using parcel lockers has increased from 38% to 44%, with 11% of the 1,000 consumers surveyed saying they use them frequently.
