Networking equipment provider NETGEAR has launched a plug-and-play solution for small offices that require just one or two WiFi access points. The standalone NETGEAR Dual Band 802.11ac Wireless Access Point (WAC104) is a quick and easy way to improve WiFi coverage and upgrade an existing router or ISP box to the latest 802.11ac WiFi technology. It supports dual band concurrent operation with combined throughput of up to 1.2Gbps, up to four times the speed of previous-generation 802.11n networks. It can be wall- or desk-mounted and is inter-operable with new and legacy laptops, smartphones, tablets, VoIP phones and surveillance cameras. With four Ethernet ports, a single access point can also connect up to four wired devices.
