Discovery has launched the second edition of its Discovery Go the Extra Mile challenge, encouraging people to protect the planet while getting fit, with the chance to win prizes.
People over 18 years of age are invited to gather a team from 2 to 4 and start adding up as many kilometres as possible across three categories: walking, running and cycling outdoors.
Participants are split into 3 tiers of performance: Amateurs, Rookies and Pros, so that everyone has the chance to win.
Each kilometre is worth one point, and there will be 9 winning teams per month, those with the highest average accumulated points per category and tier. Prizes include sport watches and gift vouchers.
Discovery will also plant a tree for every 100km covered during the competition.
Discovery GoXM 2.0 runs from June 1st to October 31st.
