directprint.io continues to invest in its serverless print management solution, the latest developments include updates to its universal print driver and redesigned UI, while integration with Azure AD sees the launch of the platform on the Azure AD Marketplace
directprint.io has introduced a brand new user interface (UI) designed to ensure a more intuitive, seamless and straightforward customer experience (CX). The upgrade also paves the way for the ISV to build in additional innovative features that will enhance CX in the future.
In direct response to customer feedback, the company has redesigned directprint.io’s universal print driver, building a fresh new client application (UI) that delivers an easy, predictable print experience for end-users. The new look UI features a logical split between devices, printer settings, and print queues, and has a consistent look and feel across Chrome, Chromebook, Windows and macOS devices. The new, easy-to-navigate UI will be available later in 2022 for mobile devices, enabling increasingly mobile-first employees to manage their printing, their way.
Alongside these enhancements, integration with Azure Active Directory will help SMBs seamlessly take print to the cloud. directprint.io is now available to users via the Azure AD Marketplace. By integrating with Azure AD, directprint.io is empowering customers to seamlessly and securely leverage the full capabilities of the cloud, automate time-intensive tasks and cut costs by consuming print infrastructure management as a service.
Full integration with Microsoft’s enterprise identity service will improve organisations’ security posture, enabling directprint.io users to implement single sign-on and multi-factor authentication methods to better protect their print infrastructure and wider network from cyber threats. This integration also allows customers to assign specific users to specific printers, easily deploy and remove new printers to end-users, and adopt a Group Policy to manage printers from a single console for improved security and control.
James Gilmore, Head of Product and Design at directprint.io, said: “Our new universal print driver is compatible with all the leading printer/MFP makes and models, new and old. It can be remotely deployed and supports single sign-on with Google and Microsoft, allowing for truly zero-touch deployment. With these latest enhancements to the client application’s UI, we’ve made it much easier for end-users to auto install available printers on their devices, access advanced features such as secure pin release and finishing options such as punching, stapling, booklet creation, etc. and, benefit from automatic updates without IT intervention.”
These latest updates form part of directprint.io’s wider growth strategy which will see it target a quarter of a million new users under management in the UK throughout 2022. CEO David Jenkins, added: “Our focus is firmly on prioritising usability, performance and security, as demonstrated by this latest upgrade. Our continuous approach to innovation is designed to empower more organisations to securely leverage the cloud and make costly, cumbersome on-premise print management a thing of the past.”
