Anchor Vans, the UK’s biggest commercial vehicle hypermarket, has launched an app to pinpoint the exact location of each of its stock vehicles. Where Am I Parked? uses geolocation to save time for sales, driver and prep teams involved in finding vehicles. With more than 500 vehicles parked on one three-acre site and a further 200 on two smaller van parks, it would previously have taken a team member 15- 20 minutes to locate each vehicle. Anchor Vans plans to use the data on its customer website, too, to help prospective buyers locate vehicles they are interested in.

BT and TechHub have awarded London based tech start-up Trust Elevate £10,000 to help develop its parental consent app Veripass. By enabling parents to provide consent before their child makes online registrations, purchases and downloads, and to verify their age, the app helps providers of online products and services comply with GDPR, which stipulates that parental consent must be given for the lawful processing of data relating to children under the age of 16. Veripass also helps child-focused sites serve age-appropriate content to site users and make sure that children only interact with those in the same age group.
